This morning I launched a support group for Mission idiots who go to bars on weekdays.  By the afternoon, we were already at this.

In the ongoing series of “things I draw for my friends”, here is a gnargle riding a unicycle holding a pot leaf and a 5th of Royal Gate with a dolphin and rainbow overhead.
This image was derived from a conversation Fergus and I had after I saw some gnarg on a unicycle in the FiDi, and what it would look like if we got tattoos of said dude. It would look like this, with a dolphin and rainbow added for that extra “pop”.

I’ve been doing the whole “living paycheck to paycheck” thing for about 4 years now, and let me tell you, it’s only half a picnic. I do enjoy having a steady income, but it’s not enough money to actually enjoy it and do things I want to do, like travel and buy expensive bike parts and drink beer that doesn’t cost $2 and comes in a can.

Ok, I’d still do that last one even if I had more money, and so would you so YEAH SHUT UP.

I’m going to be starting a new gig soon - slanging drinks and food at this new spot in North Beach on nights. I’m hoping that I can turn it into a full time deal so I can leave my desk-jockey job and start enjoying days again. Plus I’d be making more money at the bar than I do at my current soul sucking job, so 1up for that.

With this change in vocation/situation looming, I’m going to use my next paycheck to get a few things I desperately need. First and foremost, I’m going to get a damn hair cut. I’m starting to look like I’ve turned gnargle, which is just plain unacceptable and gross and no wonder I’m single. Just…no. Then I’m going to buy some water proof pants so when it “rains” I don’t show up to work (or anywhere) looking like I fell into a fountain or spilled soda all over my thighs. HOT. Last, I’m going to buy my 5th headlight for my bike, because I got my last one jacked at Four Barrel. I’ll tell you one thing, that shit wouldn’t happen at Ritual, that’s for sure. Coffee snobs are dicks.

Sorry we party.

Anonymous asked: I do matinees, and can't deal with 3D, so it was only $6. I think my hot dog was $4!

I miss going to movies. Back in high school I really liked the idea of getting all dolled up with my friends (in case we ran into some babes in line or something), drinking 50 gallons of soda, popping Red Hots and sitting in the dark for 2 hours at a time getting lost in whatever crap movie we were watching. To do the same thing now costs roughly the same amount of money as my monthly electricity bill, so naturally I don’t see movies often anymore. Having a day job doesn’t exactly help with matinees either.

I think the last time I went to the movies was either to see the last Harry Potter film at Kabuki (which was AWESOME cause we caught a ride to the theatre AND got to wear goofy glasses), or the time we spent all day drinking in Dolores and then thought that seeing Planet of the Apes was a good idea. Which it was.
